Monday, 10 September
Fifth Day of the Symposium

Italian Day

Morning Session

We began, as usual, with our mantra, followed by Terce in Italian.

Our facilitators then reminded us of the presentation by Sr Scholastika and Sr Lynn McKenzie on ‘Cor Orans’, yes, we all want to be connected, like the parts of our body. and led us in a dance based on ‘Dem Bones’.

Group Photos

Br Simon had offered to take informal group photos during our morning break. To take the photos he balanced on the edge of the pond, some of us were wondering if he would land up in the water with the goldfish, he didn’t.

After the break there was a group discussion lead by Sr Pauline and Sr Cecile, then it was time for Mass.

Afternoon Session

Fr. Markus Muff had offered to give a guided tour of the renovation works at San’ Anselmo. At 2 pm a group of us went on the tour. He explained the ongoing program of renovation, and some of the problems they had had to deal with. We saw, amongst other things, the beautiful new library, and the new large aula currently under construction.

The afternoon session began with None which was in Vietnamese with the reading in Korean.

Our afternoon speaker was M Adelaida Ygrubay.
