Sunday, 9 September: Fourth Day of the Symposium, Free Day

Today we had time, time for meeting up with friends, for visiting fellow religious in Rome, for a bit of sightseeing, or for a rest!

The Newer Members went with Sr Bobbi and Fr Pachomius to the Catacombs of St Priscilla for Mass. More of us would have liked to go, a few managed it, but the numbers were restricted because of the size of the chapel in the Catacombs.

Some of us went on the optional tour of St Pauls Outside the Walls, ending with Vespers.

An ‘DIY’ group went to Mass at the ancient basilica of Santa Sabina, getting an unexpected opportunity to see St Dominic’s room at the adjacent Dominican house, then continued to the catacombs of St Callixtus, and down the Via Appia Antica to the basilica at the Catacombs of San Sebastiano.
